CCHIT survey respondents find Stage 2 MU measures too tough

More than one-third of respondents to a Certification Commission for Health IT survey view the proposed meaningful use standards for Stage 2 that broaden nine of the Stage 1 MU criteria as unreasonable. Of the 468 survey respondents, 40% of EHR vendors and at least 50% of health care providers find the criteria for syndromic surveillance reporting too ambitious.
