The people surrounding Charlie Sheen and his television show may have kept the actor's drug and other personal problems quiet, in line with a Hollywood tradition of not interfering with stars on whose career so much revenue depends. However, executives with CBS and Warner Brothers say they tried to intervene to salvage Sheen and his popular series, "Two and a Half Men."
