Boehner urges House Republicans to pass $260B transportation bill

House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, is urging his Republican colleagues to pass the five-year, $260 billion highway bill or risk needing to accept the smaller Senate version as the March 31 deadline to reauthorize funds for the Highway Trust Fund nears. "Right now, [our] bill lacks the votes to pass. And every other option we've tried has even less support," Boehner said.
