Innovative iPad app could mean the end for printed blueprints

Plangrid's app for the iPad could save the construction industry billions in expensive printing costs related to revising project blueprints. The app aims to replace printed blueprints with "a sleek, manageable digital archive of customizable plans" that can be "manipulated" on the job site and immediately be updated because of its cloud-storage capabilities. The app is free for projects with less than 50 sheets of blueprint, while bigger projects will be charged based on a three-tiered pricing plan.
