Precast among exterior facade components for 7-story hospital in Calif.

The Torrance Memorial Medical Center Patient Tower in Torrance, Calif., held a topping-out ceremony as the last steel beam was placed. The seven-story, 398,350-square-foot building has a precast concrete facade combined with metal panels, plaster and curtain wall to give it a "modern look" and correct solar orientation.
