Proposal to fix up foreclosed buildings could create construction jobs

A measure that would expand the coverage of the Neighborhood Stabilization Plan could generate construction jobs as it aims to provide $15 billion in grants to fix up foreclosed and vacant residential and commercial properties. "Project Rebuild is a smart investment in strengthening our communities, putting more construction workers back to work and bolstering the economy," said Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., who introduced the measure.
