$594M concrete-pile dam repair in Ky. is finished

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has finished the six-year project of sealing leaks in Wolf Creek Dam around Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. Nearly 1,200 interlocking, three-foot thick concrete piles were inserted into holes drilled under the dam's earthen section. The wall they created is meant to keep out seepage from fissures and caves under the dam. Engineers will now evaluate how well the fix works.
