Colo. DOT ramps up safety initiatives with 52 LED stop signs

The Colorado Department of Transportation acquired 52 pieces of CTC's LED warning signs to strengthen rail safety across 26 grade crossings in the state. "Any tool that we can use to save lives is a welcome addition to our transportation tool kit," said Mat Flores, state DOT statewide utilities engineer. "The flashing lights disrupt a driver's expectations and should draw his or her attention to the crossing, resulting in a significant safety benefit."
