Comcast has closed on its purchase of online ad platform FreeWheel, which the cable giant acquired in a transaction valued at as much as $375 million. Comcast will operate FreeWheel, which supplies ad insertion and management services for live and on-demand content for NBCUniversal, Discovery Communications and Viacom, among others, as a separate company.
