Energy bill setting time limits on environmental assessments moves forward in House

The House has voted to advance the Responsibly and Professionally Invigorating Development (RAPID) Act, which would set timelines for environmental reviews of energy projects. The bill, expected to pass the House after further debate, would set an 18-month limit on environmental assessments and a 36-month limit for environmental impact statements.
