Google donates $1 million to support women entrepreneurs

Google is donating $1 million to organizations that support startups through a program known as #40Forward, which is intended to help more women enter the entrepreneurial community. "Women-led tech companies achieve 35 percent higher return on investment, and, when venture-backed, bring in 12 percent more revenue than male-owned tech companies," according to a blog post by Bridgette Sexton Beam, Google's global entrepreneurship manager. "Yet women are still underrepresented in startup communities."
