Minn. committee votes to expand access to free lunches

Lawmakers in the Minnesota House Education Finance Committee have approved a bill that would provide free meals for students who currently qualify for reduced-price lunches. Advocates say the legislation would help families who make too much money to receive free meals, but for whom reduced-priced meals still present a financial burden.
