The world's excess carbon dioxide isn't just a waste product -- it's also potentially a valuable resource. Companies such as Liquid Light and Dioxide Materials are developing technologies to turn carbon dioxide into plastics, paints and glues, and they say their processes could be used to reduce industrial emissions and give major carbon emitters a new revenue stream.
