"My Fast" spots rev up GTI, but will they help VW?

Crispin Porter + Bogusky's edgy new "Fast" spots for the Volkswagen GTI effectively reposition the model as a "pocket rocket" for the young dude demographic, according to Slate's Seth Stevenson. But it remains to be seen whether the spots, which feature a demon-like gargoyle urging drivers to "Make friends with your fast," also will work as a cornerstone for VW's overall re-branding campaign.
