U.S., Egypt venture brings books to schools

A new joint U.S.-Egypt program will give 700 books to every one of Egypt's 38,000 schools by 2007 as part of an effort to boost literacy and offer students a broader view of the world. A consortium of Egyptian companies is publishing the selected works, which include "Snow White," "The Magic School Bus" and "Pooh."
