Gates calls for broad data collection

Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates called on U.S. lawmakers to help strengthen U.S. high schools by creating a Center for State Education Data, bolstering math and science education and introducing more challenging standards. Gates also called for making the curriculum more relevant to today's increasingly technologically sophisticated students.
