Markey: Royalty fees "body blow" to Net stations

Calling it a "body blow" for Web radio start-ups, U.S. Rep. Ed Markey, D-Mass., sharply criticized a decision by the U.S. Copyright Royalty Board to boost the fees Net stations pay to record labels. Under the new rules, each online station, no matter what their size, would pay a minimum of $500 in royalties.
