Activia study suggests probiotics relieve stomach upset

A study sponsored by Danone, which makes Activia yogurt, found people who ate the product daily for two weeks reported less digestive discomfort than those in a control group. Activia contains the probiotic Bifidobacterium lactis, beneficial bacteria that are believed to help regulate the digestive system. The study included people who didn't have GI disease but who did report some stomach upset.
