Food manufacturers begin to use alternatives to corn sweeteners

Kraft and other packaged-food and beverage companies have begun replacing high fructose corn syrup with more natural sweeteners in response to growing consumer demand. "That's what consumers are looking for -- simpler ingredient listings and ingredients they are familiar with," a spokeswoman for ConAgra Foods said.
