Business leaders need to learn to coach their workers rather than simply diving in and trying to fix the problem, says hedge fund founder Meridee Moore. That's the only way to build trust, or to build up the organization as a whole, Moore argues. "Just like coaching a basketball game, if your player misses the free throw, you're not allowed to go out there and take the second one yourself," she says. "You have to sit on the bench and yell: 'Bend your knees! You've got this one!' "
