U.S. News' rankings chief denied that the magazine's methods hinder law schools' efforts to promote diversity. The statement came in response to critics who'd argued that the U.S. News law school rankings encourage schools to admit students with high LSAT scores, effectively biasing admissions offices against students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
