WVU alumnus gives alma mater $1M for engineering, nanotech research

A successful West Virginia University alumnus has given his alma mater a $1 million gift for the support of energy, nanotechnology, biomedical sciences and biometrics at the school's College of Engineering and Mineral Resources. The graduate, George Bennett, of Brookline, Mass., received an industrial engineering degree from the university in 1967 and co-founded such companies as Bain & Co., Braxton Associates and Health Dialog.
