Stakeholders speak out on benefits of fatty acid intakes

Academic and government leaders in nutrition are intensifying education efforts to increase long- and shorter-chain fatty acid intakes. "Tissue concentrations of LC-Omega-3 (relative to LC-Omega-6) are the key variable for health -- not dietary intakes," according to a consensus document at an omega-3 conference in Belgium.
