Demand for lifts rising quickly, 2011 statistics show

Patients are asking for more procedures to lift sagging skin and tissue in the upper arms, lower body, buttocks and breasts, according to statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Demand for lift procedures rose almost 600% in the past 10 years, driven in part by more weight-reducing bariatric surgeries, which leave loose skin, says ASPS President Dr. Malcolm Roth.
