Lufthansa opts for V-configuration with new lie-flat business seats

Lufthansa Airlines says it is giving passengers what they want with new business-class seats on its Boeing 747-800 aircraft -- forward-facing, lie-flat seats arranged in a V-shape to provide more upper-body space between neighboring fliers. Lufthansa says the ability to sit or lie down while facing the direction of travel is "one of the main wishes expressed by customers."
