Ohio voters approve levies for schools

Voters across Ohio on Tuesday approved 75% of measures to provide funding for schools through levies. The requests came in the wake of substantial cuts in state aid last year that led to teacher layoffs and other cuts to programs and services in schools. Education leaders welcomed the support, but noted the funding will not bring back programs but simply maintain existing ones.
