Senate approves bill that would fight counterfeit-drug trade

The Senate approved bipartisan legislation that would stiffen the penalty for manufacturers and sellers of fake medicines. Bill co-sponsor Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., also wants to create a universal system to aid law enforcers in tracking counterfeit drugs throughout the supply chain.
