A centrifugally cast concrete pipe reconstruction system that was used for stormwater sewer repairs in Hays, Kan., proved to be effective, said Nicholas Willis, the city's stormwater and conservation superintendent. Although a few hundred yards required trenching, Willis chose the CCCP for the bulk of the citywide work because it was a trenchless method. "For efficiency and cost, this has been a great solution for us," he said. "Actually, given our time frame and revenue, I don't see how we could do without something like this. To any cities or agencies on the fence about it, I certainly recommend giving it a try."
