MTA to reopen old station at South Ferry next month

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is set to reopen the old station at South Ferry early next month, in an effort to restore service to the southern end of the No. 1 line for the first time since Superstorm Sandy. Although the old station has some inconvenient features, the MTA decided to put back it into service while rebuilding the new South Ferry station downstairs.
