Hedge fund IPO falls short, but execs say interest still high

Although the initial public offering of a hedge fund by Brevan Howard Asset Management raised about half of what was sought, industry executives say the market is still substantial. Investors "continue to have a very, very serious interest in IPOs, in private equity and certainly in hedge funds," said Andrew Popper, chief investment officer at SG Hambros in London.
