Hospital, private stem cell banking company join forces

A New Jersey hospital has partnered with Celgene's LifebankUSA to create the country's first formal program aimed at encouraging expectant families to bank placental and umbilical cord stem cells. The hospital will offer information to parents about stem cell banking and said, "this is not something we are going to push them to buy. We hope to make this part of their health care choice."
