Minnesota proposal would boost costs for policyholders, PCI says

A new Minnesota proposal would raise the cost of health, auto, homeowners and commercial liability insurance, the Property Casualty Insurers Association says. The legislation would authorize additional legal action against insurers for trying to investigate questionable insurance claims. PCI Vice President Ann Weber notes Minnesota already has laws that address disputes over how claims are handled.
