Beckstrom steps down from top cybersecurity post

Rod Beckstrom, the federal government's director of cybersecurity programs, has stepped down from the post. In his resignation letter, Beckstrom reportedly criticized the National Security Agency's central role in cybersecurity and said a civilian agency, and not one that is part of the Department of Defense, should play a leading role in the effort.
