Lawmakers want to expand Troops to Teachers program

Some U.S. lawmakers hope to expand a program that helps retiring military personnel become schoolteachers. The Troops to Teachers program offers stipends to defray the cost of teaching certification and has helped nearly 10,000 former military personnel who have expertise in math, science and other areas become teachers.
