New AGC president: Use technology to raise productivity

The construction industry has been too slow to embrace new technology and other innovations that could help it become more productive, Doug Pruitt, Associated General Contractors of America's incoming president, told members attending the group's national convention. He noted the industry has seen zero productivity growth in the last four decades, and he urged members to focus on the future of the industry. "We need to always be at the table writing the rules that will change this industry," Pruitt said.
