Recession increasingly mirrors Great Depression

The current recession's imprint on society and the economy may rival that of the Great Depression, according to economists. "We are tracking 1929-1930," said Barry Eichengreen, a professor of economics and political science at the University of California, Berkeley. Some economists expect this generation to mimic actions of those who lived during and in the years following the Great Depression.
