20% of babies of HBV mothers fail to get preventive care

A CDC review of medical records found that 20% of babies born to mothers with hepatitis B do not get treatments, such as the HBV vaccine and immunoglobulin, to prevent infection. The report suggested that hospital policies on testing and vaccination could improve prevention efforts.
