Immigration bill features biometric ID card for workers

Sens. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., have proposed a national biometric ID card as part of a sweeping and controversial immigration bill now under consideration by the Senate. Embedded with fingerprints and other information, the card eventually would be required of all American workers. However, critics expressed concerns that the cards would compromise personal privacy.
