Range Fuels nets $80M loan guarantee for cellulosic ethanol

Range Fuels is the recipient of the first federal loan guarantee for a commercial-scale cellulosic ethanol project, according to the Department of Agriculture. The Colorado-based company, which plans to convert wood chips into cellulosic ethanol in a proposed plant in Soperton, Ga., will receive the $80 million loan guarantee through the USDA's Biorefinery Assistance Program.
