Sources say March 20 is date for first flight of 747-8 Intercontinental

After a successful engine run, Boeing sources say the 747-8 Intercontinental could make its maiden flight on March 20. Though the company would not officially confirm the target date, sources noted that the engine test occurred two days ahead of schedule, indicating stepped-up progress on Boeing's biggest passenger jet. Lufthansa is scheduled to take delivery of the first passenger version of the 747-8I in early 2012.
