Alaska eICU extends critical care to remote hospitals

The eICU at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Ala., provides care for patients at remote facilities and backs up care for nurses in its own ICU. Nurse manager Bonnie Neff at Providence's hospital in Kodiak says while the eICU is only used about six times per month, it is very valuable, benefiting patients and saving money on medevac costs.
