Jonesboro NICU expands access to care in NE Arkansas

St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro has opened a $1.5 million level three NICU, becoming the first in northeast Arkansas to have facilities to care for infants born weighing as little as 3.3 pounds. About 75% of babies needing NICU care will be able to receive it at the hospital, and neonatalogist Dr. Douglas Seglem says that will save families from having to travel to Little Rock for NICU services.
