New cholesterol guidelines are suggested for children

New cholesterol-testing guidelines for children could send more families for dietary counseling because, while heart disease may not show itself until middle age, what children eat has an impact, says registered dietitian Karen Ansel. She says parents who know that their children have high cholesterol should not panic but should make dietary changes to reduce fat and eat a more plant-based diet.
