Wis. school connects with Iowa peers to reach classes in all 50 states

Third-graders in De Pere, Wis., and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, recently met through Google Hangouts on Air to discuss their favorite books as part of the Wisconsin school's effort to connect with classrooms in every state for Read Across America. The schools connected after technology specialists affiliated with the two districts met at a conference. Jennifer Zurawski, library media/instructional technology specialist for West De Pere School District's elementary schools, said she has set a goal of connecting with classrooms in the 50 states by the end of March.
