Studies: Plavix with heart attack treatment can save lives

Studies looking at thousands of heart attack patients around the world conclude that giving patients the cheap, widely available clot-blocking drug Plavix can improve a patient's chances of survival dramatically. The drug helps clear clogged arteries and is said to be especially beneficial as only a small amount of U.S. hospitals are equipped to perform emergency angioplasty.
