Hotels find guests prefer minibars when they're empty

Hotels are increasingly taking note of guests' disdain for the notoriously high prices of minibar items and are transforming them into the more desirable amenity of an empty refrigerator where guests can store their own items. Some hotels said the amount of labor involved in visiting each room and tending to the minibars turned out to be far greater than the revenue they generated.
