Unilever: U.K. reneges on health partnership

Gavin Neath, chairman of Unilever U.K., said the British government is failing to partner with the food industry to create a marketing campaign to promote healthier food, which it agreed to do in 2004, in favor of passing tougher packaging regulations and other measures. The original agreement with the U.K. Department of Health would have involved advertising, food labeling initiatives, and the distribution of information at schools.
