N.C. county makes school nurse shortage top priority

Increasing the number of school nurses in Henderson County, N.C., is a top priority for health care officials and parents. County schools have one nurse for every 1,769 students, lower than the state rate of one nurse for every 1,340 students and the national recommendation of one nurse to 750 students.
