Diageo brand Guinness has gained an unlikely ally in Anheuser-Busch in its bid to gather 1 million signatures in favor of declaring St. Patrick's Day an official U.S. holiday. A-B, which holds U.S. import rights for Bass Ale, which is traditionally used with Guinness to make a "black and tan," plans to take out full-page print ads in alternative weeklies and provide "nontraditional" radio sponsorships to support Diageo's effort, according to this article.
