Sickle cell on increase in Colorado

A growing number of Hispanics in Colorado -- 32% compared with 10% just 20 years ago -- are carriers for sickle cell disease. The Sickle Cell Center is beginning to print educational brochures in Spanish, in an effort to educate the increasing Hispanic population on the risks of the disease.
